Jesus calmed the storm

Jesus calmed the storm but he didn’t have to Be in it.

Luke 8:22 One day Jesus said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side of the lake.” So they got into a boat and set out. 23 As they sailed, he fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger.

24 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master,(C) we’re going to drown!”

He got up and rebuked(D) the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm.(E)25 “Where is your faith?” he asked his disciples.

In fear and amazement they asked one another, “Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him.”

love languages

How do you feel loved?   Five Love Languages  Gary Chapman   Words of Affirmation : Actions don’t always speak louder than words. If this is your love language, unsolicited compliments mean the world to you. Hearing the words,  “ I love you,” are important-hearing the reason behind that love sends your spirits skyward. Insults can leave you shattered and are not easily forgotten.   Quality Time : In the vernacular of Quality Time, nothing say s , “I love you” like full, undivided attention. Being there for this   type of person is critical, but really being there-with the TV off, fork and knife down, and all chore s and  tasks on stan d by-makes you feel truly special and loved. Distractions, postponed dates, or the failure to listen can be especially hurtful.   Gifts :  Don’t mistake this love language for materialism; the receiver of gifts thrive s on the love, thoughtfulness, a nd effort behind the gift. If you speak this language, the per...

In God's Time

Pray for God's blessing on myself and others - pray that I may allow him to pursue in his own time and his own Way. Deuteronomy 6:4-7 - 4 Hear, O Israel: The  Lord  our God, the  Lord  is one. [ a ]   5  Love  the  Lord  your God with all your heart  and with all your soul and with all your strength.   6  These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.   7  Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. The promise is in faith and assurance apathetic, atheists, and agnostics - The apathetic do not acknowledge God either.  They do not seek him out although they may be aware of Him.  Romans 9:1-5 Matthew 23:37 37  “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings...
